After much reflection and meditation some benevolent and resource minds from Kottayam district, Kerala, combined to form a Kottayam Pravasi Association for the expatriates settled in Riyadh. Within no time it was named as Kottayam District Pravasi Association and it soon abbreviated as KDPA which automatically shaped into popularity from its infancy itself.
After a few months an awareness get together was organized on 6th Nov, 2009 and a great multitude from Kottayam district flowed in, bewildering everyone in Riyadh. On seeing the sensational crowd the present chairman of KDPA Mr. David Luku remarked that KDPA not only shook Riyadh but it gave a great tremor to Kottayam district as well.
KDPA has been founded with the intention of giving a helping hand to the needy Kottayam Pravasi members in Riyadh with a motto which has been meaningfully termed as “service to Humanity”.
